Deep Sea Pilotage Services
Since 1947 George Hammond PLC has managed a deep sea pilotage service, which is supported by an established pool of full-time British Pilots. All our pilots are annually licensed by Trinity House for all areas around UK and North Sea and have substantial command experience and ECDIS trained. With their unrivalled navigational knowledge of English Channel and North European waters, all Hammond pilot offer significant economic benefits to owners and operators & enhances the Bridge Management Team, by advising on the safest and most direct route to next local pilot boarding position thereby saving distance, bunkers, time & cost.
Normal boarding stations are at Brixham, Cherbourg or Skagen or at any other European Port to suit your preference.

The Deep Sea Pilot will normally remain onboard throughout vessels North European rotation, disembarking at Brixham on outbound voyage.
Vessels requiring a Deep Sea Pilot should send request 72hrs/48hrs/24hrs notice of ETA nominating preferred boarding station or port.
British Admiralty charts & publications can be supplied upon request.
